Abbott recognizes and embraces the importance of having a diverse and inclusive culture and has built diversity into its worldview, workplaces, suppliers and partnerships.
“We believe advancing diversity is critical because we know varied perspectives inspire new ways to address challenges,” the company said. “That helps us serve our purpose, translating into better life-changing technologies that help people live their healthiest lives.”
One of the ways in which Abbott supports its diverse workforce is through support networks. One of those networks is its Black Business Network, which the company recently highlighted in a LinkedIn post.
“Contributions from our Black Business Network employee resource group have echoed across Abbott over the decades. Members are creating opportunities to support Black employees, engage with local communities and advance health equity — today and for years to come,” the company said.
