D.C. Principal Busted Mocking Black Student's Sexual Assault Claim

A Washington, D.C. principal, Aqueelha James, who was caught on tape mocking a Black female freshman’s sexual assault claim, faces a lawsuit for neglecting to sufficiently investigate the allegations.

A conversation between the haughty principal of Roosevelt High School and another administrator, Dean of Students Reginald Stevens, was caught on tape by the student’s mother after her daughter, abruptly, left the session and the mother excused herself from the meeting to comfort her child. The mother’s cellphone was secretly recording recording the meeting and was left on. It captured the appalling conversation that transpired after they left.

Initially, James to be concerned about the accusations. “I’m here to support and be of assistance,” she said. “I don’t like the idea that your daughter has been assaulted sexually. It is a crime.”

James stated in the recording that she was going to call the police so she can “embarrass” the girl. Not to actually help her but to embarrass her. James was also heard mocking the student’s dress and saying that she was sick of the mother and daughter.

“Thisis going to compromise her,” James said. “And that’s why I’m going to go the extra mile and call MPD [Metropolitan Police Department]. That’s why I’m going to do all of thisbecause I’m sick of her. So, I’m going to call MPD, I’m going to have a long, drawn-out email just so that I can embarrass her.”

The mother and daughter are seeking at least $5 million in actual and punitive damages from James and the Washington, D.C., government.

D.C. Public Schools (DCPS) has launched an investigation into the lawsuit and James’s handling of the sexual assault allegations after it was reported to her.

“DCPS does not tolerate sexual misconduct or harassment in our schools,” the statement said. “We take the safety and security of all of our students seriously, and while we cannot discuss the specifics of personnel matters, when the issue at Roosevelt was brought to our attention we launched an investigation and took action.”

The unnamed girl filed a police report in June 2017, claiming a male student forced her into a bathroom the day before to kiss and grope her without consent.

Many people are, fortunately, finding the courage to come forward after they’ve been sexually violated with no thanks to rape apologists like James and her cronies. She should be fired immediately because it’s clear that her students’ safety is not a priority.

James has been placed on administrative leave as of right now pending the investigation.
