Working as a woman in tech can have its challenges, especially since the industry is still male-dominated. 

Though women make up half (50%) of all U.S. workers in STEM occupations, according to research, however, Black and Hispanic workers continue to be underrepresented in the STEM workforce. Black professionals represent only 9% of STEM workers, while Hispanics represent only 7%.

Research has also found that women professionals are also underrepresented in engineering (14%), computer (25%) and physical science (39%).

Though there is much more work to be done in the realm of diversity in tech, women professionals in the industry have shown excellence and innovation at its best. If you’re one of those tech leaders, check out tips that will help you stand out and thrive at work:
