Wyndham Worldwide states, “With a mission to welcome people to experience travel the way they want, diversity is at the core of Wyndham Worldwide.”
The company attributes much of its success to its diversity council, which is led by Chairman and CEO Steve Holmes.
Wyndham Worldwide also launched two new mentor circles last year, one for Black employees and one for women in technology. The company reported building on its already existing mentoring programs as well and has seen success in engaging its senior-level employees in these programs.
Almost 90 percent of Holmes’ direct reports participate in a formal mentoring program. According to the company, diversity helps the business stay competitive “by infusing different perspectives and reflecting its customers and communities where it operates.”
Chairman and CEO
“Diversity is at the heart of what we do. Travel enables people of varied nationalities and backgrounds to meet and experience different cultures, raising our collective understanding and appreciation for each other around the world. For Wyndham Worldwide, diversity isn’t a program – it’s simply how we do business.”
