WHY IT’S ON THE LIST

On the list for the third year in a row, Wyndham Worldwide moves up 10 spots. The company has shown strong leadership in talent development and supplier diversity.

Wyndham Worldwide received our Top Company for Supplier Diversity award this year, with Chairman and CEO Stephen P. Holmes accepting.

The company spends close to 15 percent and slightly more than 10 percent of its total procurement with Tier I and Tier II diverse suppliers, respectively.

Wyndham Worldwide includes diverse suppliers when possible in each request for proposal and bid notice. The company mentors existing and potential suppliers, and seeks to build partnerships with each supplier.

Under Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Chief Diversity Officer Patricia Lee, talent development and the pipeline to senior management have been increasingly diverse. Just recently, Gail Mandel became the first woman to be president and CEO of Wyndham Exchange & Rentals.

The company has a strong global executive diversity council, chaired by Holmes. The 24-member council has cross-functional executives from all the business units and includes supplier diversity as well as associate-business group sponsors.

DIVERSITY LEADERSHIP

Stephen P. Holmes
Chairman and CEO

“As one of the world’s largest hospitality companies, diversity is a fundamental part of how we do business in nearly 100 countries around the world. Through a holistic approach in our workplace and communities, we strive to maximize the contributions of each individual so that diversity in perspective, talent, and background keep Wyndham Worldwide an exceptional travel partner, a successful company, and a great place to work.”
Patricia A. Lee
Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Chief Diversity Officer

“When an employee comes to work every day with the awareness and confidence they are valued as an individual, the engagement and trust that is created enables the employee to deliver their best performance both for themselves and the organization. This is the culture we support and advance every day at Wyndham Worldwide.”
