WHY IT’S ON THE LIST
Making the list for the second year in a row and moving up seven spots, Wyndham continues to demonstrate progress in its human-capital demographics, development of best practices and supplier diversity.
It starts with strong leadership. Chairman and CEO Stephen Holmes is a public proponent of using diversity and inclusion as a critical way of furthering the company’s business globally and in the United States.
Wyndham has increased the diversity of its U.S. workforce and management, while gaining a name for itself as a leader in LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) and disability issues. The company’s associate business groups have been accelerating their contribution to recruitment, talent development, and marketing and sales.
The company continues to be a leader in supplier diversity, working with an increasing number of vendors owned by Blacks, Latinos, Asians, women, LGBT people and people and veterans with disabilities. Wyndham helps its suppliers grow through education and mentoring. All of its diverse suppliers are certified.
