BEST PRACTICES

Wyndham Worldwide moves up three spots on the list. With a mission to welcome people to experience travel the way they want, diversity is a priority at the company.

Wyndham Worldwide views its diverse workforce as a competitive business advantage by infusing different perspectives and reflecting its customers and communities where it operates.

During quarterly meetings, the Global Diversity Council comprised of associates from across the company, and led by Chairman and CEO Steve Holmes, drive diversity strategies, and share knowledge and best practices. These efforts ensure a strong commitment to the more than 38,000 associates around the world.

With the support of leadership across its various brands and business units, Wyndham Worldwide advanced several key initiatives in 2016, including launching a Hispanic Associate Development program, and a Veteran recruitment initiative; as well as continuing to connect diversity and inclusion to business initiatives through associate focus groups among key demographics.

The company also advanced its efforts to enhance the experiences of persons with disabilities, whether they are prospective or current employees. This was in addition to building upon existing productive programs, such as its growing Associate Business Groups, vibrant national scholarship program, successful Mentor Circles, signature “Wynternship” program, and industry-leading supplier diversity program and Supplier Diversity Academy.
