We regret that on January 19th we published an article relying on a January 17th story published in The Daily Beast describing a number of allegations made in lawsuits against The Cordish Companies. Yesterday, we were made aware by attorneys for the Cordish Companies, that many of the most serious accusations of discrimination in that story and repeated by us were later recanted in nonpublic depositions. As a result of our being informed of these private depositions, the content of which we had no way of knowing at the time of our original publication, we hereby retract the allegations contained in our article and have removed the article from our publication and apologize to The Cordish Companies, Reed Cordish, the Cordish family, the Cordish employees and our readers. Further review of current court records confirm that The Cordish Companies have not been found guilty of discrimination in any claims brought against them.
