Abbott Expands Support for Hurricane Relief with $1 Million to Help Families Affected by Hurricane Irma
Total relief for Hurricanes Harvey and Irma includes more than $2 million in products and funding.
The company is mobilizing millions of servings of food to support disaster relief efforts.
"We are dismayed by the effects of Hurricane Irma across Florida and the impact it's having on our customers and colleagues in the community," said Eileen Howard Boone, SVP of Corporate Social Responsibility and Philanthropy at CVS Health, and President of the CVS Health Foundation.
The company’s donation includes $500,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, $500,000 to local nonprofits and $100,000 to International Medical Corps.
“Natural disasters don’t discriminate. They don’t see if you’re an immigrant, Black or white, Hispanic or Asian, Jewish or Muslim, wealthy or poor ... we’re all in this together,” Beyoncé said.
