  National Disability Employment Awareness Month

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, a chance to recognize the estimated 54 million people with disabilities in the United States, 34 percent of whom are unemployed. People with disabilities also account for more than $220 billion in spending power, according to the National Organization on Disability. Here we delve into the issues surrounding people with disabilities, both in and out of the workplace.
