To Leda Barnett. You make a spectacular inferfential leap about my politics on the basis of very little information. A person who points out the fact that a ststement is a non-sequiter and exemplifies either careless thinking or careless use of language does not become either a conservative or a progressive by that act alone. People who do not demonstrate critical thinking about public affairs ca in fairly be described as both uncritical and immature. The term "political science" is an oxymoron. Your claim to have invested in a PhD in the subject may well indicate a rather uncritical personal career investment strategy. Personally I wish Sen. Obama well. If he becomes President, I will do everything I can to support him and make him successful for the sake of our country. When I was a teen ager,my best friend's father advised me "people will never know how dumb you are if you keep your big mouth shut" Sen Obama and perhaps our future Preaident might well follow that advice with respect to each substantive issue he raises during this election cycle.
