Ascend (formerly known as National Asian American Society of Accountants - NAASA) is a 501(c)6 non-profit organization established in 2005. Ascend aims to be the premier professional association for enhancing the presence and influence of Asian American in the accounting and finance professions.

Ascend was founded as a resource for Asian American accountants, finance professionals, students and associate members to cultivate the growth of accounting and finance knowledge, and to advance business development opportunities. Ascend also will serve the public and our communities by disseminating information on accountancy and finance, by fostering the study of accountancy and finance in universities, and by promoting the highest standards of professional ethics.

The mission of Ascend is to continuously influence and encourage the development of accounting professionals, finance professionals and students while serving as a collective voice for the Asian and Pacific Islander communities in the field of accounting and finance.

Ascend's vision is to be the premier professional association for enhancing the presence and influence of Asian Americans in the accounting and finance professions.
