Social Sites Are More Popular Among Girls

 

Among girls ages 15--17, 70 percent have a regularly used profile page on social web sites such as MySpace, Bebo and Facebook, compared with 57 percent of boys the same ages. A similar study by Nielson Online shows that women ages 18--24 account for 17 percent social-network users, while men in the same age group account for 12 percent.
