| | Why It's on the Top 50: Despite industry turbulence, Citigroup, which has been on the Top 50 for the past five years, remains committed to diversity.
Diversity Strengths: Thirty-four percent of its U.S. managers were Black, Asian, Latino or Native American, compared with a 25 percent average for the Top 50. Twenty-two percent of its senior managers also were Black, Asian, Latino or Native American, compared with a 14 percent average for the Top 50.
Citigroup has a strong commitment to its LGBT employees and has excellent work/life programs, including floating religious holidays and lactation programs.
The company has a strong mentoring program, with 61 percent of managers participating last year. The program includes training, formal follow-up and mentor meetings more than once a quarter.
Globally, values are extremely important. Citi published its Statement on Human Rights in January 2007 to communicate its values to all employees worldwide and in every country where it does business.
