What Are the Top 20 Sex-Harassment Cases of All Time?

Which Top 20 list names Bill Clinton twice and also mentions Kobe Bryant, Deepak Chopra, Anita Hill and Clarence Thomas? It's the "Top 20 Sexual-Harassment Cases of All Time." HR World, which created the list, hopes that by reading about former President Clinton's affair with Monica Lewinsky or his encounter with Paula Jones, or Chopra's 10-minute sexual-harassment case in San Diego, companies could prevent facing similar cases in the future. Others who made the list include Isiah Thomas, Sen. Bob Packwood and the Archdiocese of Boston.

Will Smith Does NOT Think Hitler Was Good--Media Gets It Wrong

Actor Will Smith is incensed that a Scottish newspaper characterized him as being so naïve and ignorant that he sees good in everyone, including Adolf Hitler, reports CNN. The Scottish Daily Record quoted Smith saying, "Even Hitler didn't wake up going, 'Let me do the most evil thing I can do today.' I think he woke up in the morning and using a twisted, backwards logic, he set out to do what he thought was 'good.'" Oops! Smith is firing back at the newspaper in a statement released through his publicist saying the writer purposely took his thought out of context: "It speaks to the dangerous power of an ignorant person with a pen," Smith said. "I am incensed and infuriated to have to respond to such ludicrous misinterpretation." And for the record, Smith thinks Hitler "was a vile, heinous vicious killer responsible for one of the greatest acts of evil committed on this planet."

On Wednesday, the Anti-Defamation League accepted Smith's clarifying statement and apology for any confusion. Read the statement.

Do You Get Poor Customer Service Because of Your Accent?

Most of us can think of frustrating experiences with voice-automated services, but for people with accents, it's even worse. How many times do you have to scream "Operator!" before you finally give up and cancel your credit card or bank account? Studies show Latinos are most likely to have this response and are most likely to tell their friends about it. In Advertising Age, Laura Martinez writes about her experience when she tried to cancel her credit cards after her wallet was stolen on a Sunday. The cards' automated call centers, however, did not recognize Martinez's Mexican-American accent, and she was forced to wait until Monday and after the cards had been illegally used to cancel them.

"Oscar Peterson redefined swing for modern jazz pianists for the latter half of the 20th century," jazz pianist Herbie Hancock told the Globe. "I was dazzled by the precision of his playing. But it was primarily the groove that moved me about Oscar. The groove and the blues, but with the sophistication that I was used to from classical music."
