Does Race Affect Your Intelligence? Author and psychologist Richard Nisbett is countering the notion that I.Q. is determined by race, as suggested by Nobel Laureate James Watson or brain size. "What do we know about the effects of environment? That environment can markedly influence I.Q. is demonstrated by the so-called Flynn Effect," writes Nisbett in The New York Times.
