The Great Class Divide in the Black Community

 

Nearly 40 percent of low-income blacks say they have little to nothing in common with middle-income and poor blacks, according to a new poll by released by the Pew Research Center, which indicated work ethic and education are among the leading factors creating a class divide within the black community, reports National Public Radio.

8-Year-Old Undocumented Immigrant Detained

 

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Texas held an 8-year-old undocumented immigrant for four days at a detention center away from her pregnant mother while their cases were being processed, reports USA Today. The agents said the mother was being disruptive and fighting; critics charged that the agency puts children in "prison-like conditions."
