Wells Fargo announced a $200,000 grant donation to the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) as part of the celebration of the 10-year anniversary of the Wells Fargo Latino Business Services programs.

 

The programs serve as an educational platform for Latino business owners to assist in their financial and capital needs.

 

The USHCC acts as the headquarters for 200 local Latino chambers in North America and continuously promotes and improves Latino-owned business by creating partnerships that promote economic growth.

 

Wells Fargo is No. 20 on The 2007 DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity® list, No. 8 in the Top 10 Companies for Latinos and No. 10 in the Top 10 Companies for Asian Americans.

 

 

General Mills and "American Idol" finalist Kimberley Locke are partnering to teach black women about preventing breast cancer. Breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer among black women.

 

General Mills has created the Pink for the Cure cancer-awareness campaign. Breast-cancer patients can visit PinkTogether.com to share their stories as examples of hope and endurance. 

 

In addition to the program, General Mills donated $2 million to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

 

General Mills is No. 32 on the Top 50.

 

 

Staples Foundation for Learning announced $300,000 in grants to support programs for at-risk youth offered by 29 organizations.

 

Winners were selected based on their commitment to help low-income children by creating educational programs to improve their learning skills. Winners include the YMCA, Mentors Inc., Kids Corporation and Boys & Girls Club of MetroWest.
