Why It's on the Top 50: In its second year on the list, Novartis has proven itself to be a strong diversity leader, both nationally and globally. The company demonstrates strong CEO Commitment and has mandatory diversity training for its entire work force.

Novartis has unbiased retention in its work force and its management, meaning retention levels are equal regardless of race/ethnicity and gender. The company also has strong employee-resource groups.

Recent Diversity Success: Novartis recently celebrated the first Global Diversity and Inclusion Award, recognizing individuals and teams from the various operating countries for their outstanding achievements in embracing and valuing differences as a source of strength.
