Description: The world's No. 2 soft-drink maker. PepsiCo owns Frito-Lay, the world's top maker of snacks.

From Chairman and CEO Indra Nooyi: "In addition to building a diverse work force, creating and sustaining an inclusive environment is key to ensuring that all PepsiCo associates feel completely at ease bringing everything they are to the workplace. We all have a profound responsibility to promote equality, and to advance the rights and opportunities of all people--for their sake, our sake, and for the sake of the world itself."

Diversity Strengths: The company has mandatory diversity training for the entire work force, compared with 58 percent of the Top 50, and mandatory employee surveys, compared with 30 percent of the Top 50.
