Geraldo Accuses Bill O'Reilly of Xenophobia; Hillary Struggles With Black Women
Bill O'Reilly Vs. Geraldo Rivera on 'Illegal Aliens' and Drunk Driving Does Bill O'Reilly believe everything he says, or are his tirades media stunts to attract more viewers to his FOX News program? This clip of O'Reilly and Geraldo Rivera arguing, literally shouting over each other, about a Virginia Beach drunk-driving case says it all. Rivera shouts, "Don't obscure a tragedy to make a cheap political point." The case involves Alfredo Ramos, 22, an undocumented immigrant, who was charged with aggravated involuntary manslaughter in the deaths of two teens after he crashed into the back of their car. They died of their injuries. Ramos had a record of three alcohol-related convictions and is in jail without bond facing a maximum of 40 years in prison if convicted. O'Reilly called local leaders villains and said the city is a sanctuary for undocumented workers--only he didn't call them that. Read more. Sort Of Apparently Spanish is not the language of prosperity, according to Newt Gingrich's apology for equating bilingual education with "the language of living in a ghetto." Gingrich's apology was aired on YouTube in both Spanish and English. Gingrich, who is considering a White House run, also said in an interview following his apology, "What I was simply saying is that a language barrier--any language barrier, whether you speak Hindi, Chinese, Vietnamese--hampers a person's ability to communicate in the language of prosperity." Also, GLAAD wants callers to ask station management to acknowledge the importance of acceptance and that the station will not tolerate such defamation again.
