10 Most Influential Blacks in Sports
In honor of Black History Month, the Sporting News has recognized the 10 most influential black sports personalities. Who are they? Tiger Woods, to be sure, as well as Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Tony Dungy and others. They note that the 60th anniversary of Jackie Robinson's breaking the color line in baseball is approaching, which also is a good time to commemorate those who broke barriers.

Obama, Hillary Fighting Over Hollywood Bucks
Democratic presidential hopefuls Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are caught in the Hollywood drama. Now the Dreamworks movie-studio founder and fan of Obama, David Geffen, who used to be a supporter of former President Bill Clinton, said Hillary was "ambitious and polarizing," according to The New York Times. After word got out that Geffen had hosted a fundraiser on Obama's behalf, the Clinton camp said Geffen's words amounted to "slash and burn" politics. The Obama campaign declined to denounce Geffen or give back any money but issued its own statement in response, criticizing Clinton. Watch the video.
Oprah Talks Politics With Ellen
Ever since Sen. Barack Obama broke his promise to Oprah Winfrey to officially announce his presidential candidacy on her show, the public wasn't sure how Oprah felt toward him. Did Obama lose Oprah's support? Not according to what she said when she recently visited "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." The two talk-show hosts discussed being neighbors, Winfrey's appearance on DeGeneres' old sitcom, and presidential politics. And DeGeneres, of course, is hosting the Oscars on Sunday. Read more.
Jesse Jackson Wants More From Hollywood Moguls
And as we approach the Oscars, the Rev. Jesse Jackson still isn't satisfied with representation of people of color in the film industry. Even though Denzel Washington, Halle Berry and Jamie Foxx have walked away with golden statues, Jackson isn't satisfied. Jackson hopes that by reaching out to Hollywood moguls he can convince the industry elite that increased casting and hiring of people of color will broaden the creative scope of Hollywood entertainment and its revenue base, reports Yahoonews.com.
