Trump: Any Immigration Plan Without Border Wall ‘Waste of Time’

The president tweeted his position Monday morning ahead of a bipartisan compromise plan expected to be unveiled by top senators.

(Reuters) — Any congressional immigration plan that does not provide for his long-promised wall along the U.S.-Mexico border ‘is a total waste of time,’ President Donald Trump said on Monday as two top senators planned to unveil a bipartisan compromise plan.

“Any deal on DACA that does not include STRONG border security and the desperately needed WALL is a total waste of time. March 5th is rapidly approaching and the Dems seem not to care about DACA. Make a deal!” Trump wrote on Twitter.

  • So much for for the great negotiator. Start shutting down the doors of government AGAIN. This administration is a disaster. Why can’t he get it through his head that a wall is not the answer. Immigration reform, YES-a wall, think again. The majority of the drugs smuggled across the border come through the southwest cities, the most heavily fortified WALLS in the system. It just doesn’t work
