“Tiana Dalichov,” host of the podcast “Unapologetic,” shielded her true identity as a public school teacher in Crystal River, Fla., in order to openly express beliefs that “it isn’t supremacist or hateful to prefer your own people over others” and that institutional racism never existed, while she interviewed guests identified by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) as white supremacists.
“Tiana Dalichov” is 25-year-old Crystal River middle school social studies teacher Dayanna Volitich, first identified by The Huffington Post. During a podcast episode on Feb. 26, Volitich talked about how she shared white nationalist ideas in the classroom and how she hid those beliefs from school officials. And when the school principal received complaints from parents about her political bias in lessons, Volitich said she lied to the principal and said it was not true.
“She believed me and backed off,” Volitich said in the podcast obtained by the blogAngry White Men, which tracks white nationalism, and posted on Thursday.
According to the blog, Volitich’s guest was Lana Lokteff who “along with her husband Henrik Palmgren, is a host at ‘Red Ice,’ a far-right, anti-Semitic media outlet.”
SPLC refers to Red Ice Radio as a “neo-Nazi media hub.”
Not only did Lokteff rail against diversity in schools and assert that “science” has proven certain races are smarter than others, and insinuate that a kid from Sweden is smarter than a kid from Nigeria, to which Volitich agreed, Lokteff also asserted that more white nationalists need to permeate public schools and become teachers.
“They don’t have to be vocal about their views, but get in there!” she said. “Be more covert and just start taking over those places.”
“Right,” Volitich said. “I’m absolutely one of them.”
Volitich said that last year, as it was her first year with the school district, the administration would check in on her classroom and curriculum. But in her second year, she’s been able to more freely assert her white nationalist views.
“This year, it seems that they are satisfied that I did the dog and pony show for them when they were in, so they don’t really seem to follow me around this year, which means I have a little bit more freedom,” she said.
A Crystal River Middle School parent said Volitich’s teachings on segregation were biased.
“They were talking about segregation in a civil rights type of capacity and the teacher somewhat alluded segregation might possibly be okay in her opinion,” Meredyth Bleakly told News Channel 8.
“Tiana Dalichov” also had a Twitter account where she shared her white supremacist views, according to screenshots obtained by The Huffington Post.
In one tweet, she complained that teachers are “forced to learn about institutional racism.”
“You know America’s education system is designed to enable victimization when teachers are forced to learn about institutional racism and prove it’s real when it isn’t. I literally feel brain cells dying as I read this bulls**t.”
She also tweeted about the superiority of white culture.

She retweeted a photo that praisedformer KKK Grand Wizard David Duke and defended other neo-Nazis supporters and white supremacists. The “horrors” of Islam were also mentioned on the Twitter feed and she referred to the “Jewish Question,” an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory.In the tweets, Volitich abbreviates this as “JQ” a common practice in alt-right and white supremacist circles.
The predominantly white Citrus County School District, north of Tampa,announced Sundayin a Facebook post that it was made aware of a “concerning podcast” on Friday and Volitich won’t be teaching while an investigation takes place:
“The teacher has been removed from the classroom and the investigation is ongoing. Pursuant to Florida Statute an open investigation and materials related to it are exempt from public record and cannot be discussed until the investigation is complete.”
Ina statementthrough her attorney on Monday, Volitich confirmed that she was the one speaking as Dalichov on the podcast, but claimed her comments were “political satire and exaggeration” and the persona was a “hobby.”
“None of the statements released about my being a white nationalist or white supremacist have any truth to them, nor are my political beliefs injected into my teaching of social studies curriculum,” she said in the statement.
