Lauren Conrad Teams Up With Kellogg’s for Opening of New Cereal Café In NYC

Conrad, best-selling author, foodie and entertainer, will create part of the cereal-inspired menu at Kellogg's new NYC Café.

Tony the Tiger is taking NYC once again with an exciting new food destination – this time with the help of Lauren Conrad. Ahead of its anticipated opening, Kellogg’s (No. 28 on the DiversityInc Top 50 Companies list) is partnering with the famous author, foodie/entertainer, lifestyle expert and designer to open its new cereal café in NYC.

Conrad, who’s known for creating everything from an epic fondue table to the ultimate holiday dinner, will stir up a number of simple, exciting cereal-inspired creations for the café’s new menu – good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu will also include favorites from Kellogg’s original Times Square location, all featured within a DIY cereal bar.

“I love spending time in the kitchen thinking of flavorful new ideas so people can enjoy food in new ways,” Conrad said. “Cereal is something we’ve all grown up with and still enjoy. It’s been exciting to explore the unexpected fun it brings to the table – or in this case, the bowl.”

In addition to creating hundreds of innovative, tasty recipes for her lifestyle website, last year Conrad released a how-to lifestyle and entertaining book titled Celebrate, which became her seventh New York Times bestseller. Born and raised in California, the 31-year-old wife and mom is also a fashion designer and philanthropist.

Kellogg’s NYC Café will open the doors of its new permanent brick-and-mortar location in NYC’s Union Square neighborhood on December 14.

The second iteration of the cereal café, located at 31 E 17th St., will be a place for foodies and people to chill, create and explore the endless possibilities of cereal. Conceptualized by Anthony Rudolf and Sandra Di Capua of Co.create NYC, the Kellogg’s NYC Café experience will be five times the size of its former location, which gained worldwide attention with its debut.
