'Icon' Chicago Judge Victim of Racist Assault

A 55-year-old Chicago man is under arrest, accused of slapping and spitting in the face of a groundbreaking judge in a racist attack outside a city courthouse.

Judge Arnette Hubbard was reportedly smoking a cigarette outside the landmark Daley Center when she walked past David Nicosia, who became upset that she was smoking near him and began arguing with the judge. “Rosa Parks, move,” he allegedly told the judge before spitting in her face. Hubbard called for assistance and followed Nicosia as he walked away, but he then turned and apparently spit at her again before slapping Hubbard across the face.
