Latinos protested withTrump piatas outside the Dallas arena where he was speaking in September.
A recent Fox News poll found that Latinos in the United States continue to dislike Trump as a presidential candidate, as reflected in a favorable-unfavorable rating of 23 percent to 74 percent. Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton has a favorable-unfavorable rating of 56 percent to 41 percent.
When Fox News tweeted the poll results from its Twitter account on Monday, with the caption “Opinion of @realDonaldTrump among Latinos,” racist Fox News viewers who support Trump began rants against Latinos:

A Twitter user actually confronted the racism:

Fox News Latino indicated in a press release on the poll’s methodology that it was taken among a random sample of 886 Latino registered voters as an oversample to a national survey of 1,021 registered voters. The poll was conducted May 14-17 by telephone with live interviewers.
Results also revealed that 72 percent of Latino voters believe Trump is running for president not for the country, but for himself. About 42 percent of Latino voters believe Clinton is campaigning for the presidency to benefit herself.
Latinos polled believe Clinton would represent their views better than Trump (72 percent to 14 percent). Regarding military force they preferred Clinton (60 percent to 29 percent), andin making decisions about nuclear weapons they also preferred Clinton (65 percent to 20 percent).
In Fox News fashion, the outlet provides”a silver lining for Trump.” It states: “Half of the Latinos polled said they would vote for a candidate even if they disagree with him or her on immigration if the voter agrees with the candidate on most other issues.”
However, immigration is an important issue to Mexican Americans, the largest Hispanic group in the nation. And the poll also found Clinton leads in that demographic 67 to 21 percent.
Trump continually uses negative rhetoric toward Mexican Americans. At a campaign rally on Friday in San Diego, he verbally attacked U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, the federal judge presiding over the Trump University fraud trial, calling him a “hater” and making reference to his Mexican heritage.
Trump said, “I think Judge Curiel should be ashamed of himself. I think it’s a disgrace that he’s doing this. The judge, who happens to be, we believe, Mexican I think the Mexicans are going to end up loving Donald Trump.”
Curiel, who was born and raised in Indiana, is the son of Mexican parents.
Trump’s immigration stance was made loud and clear during his campaign announcement speech on June 16. He made derogatory remarks about Mexican immigrants, calling them rapists, murderers and drug dealers. In addition, the candidate said he’d deport 11 million undocumented immigrants from the U.S. and build a wall along the approximately 1,800-mile U.S.-Mexico border.
