Cox Enterprises Donates $50,000 to American Red Cross for South Georgia Tornado Victims

Cox Enterprises (No. 18 on the DiveristyInc Top 50 Companies list), in partnership with The James M. Cox Foundation, has announced a combined cash donation of $50,000 to the American Red Cross to assist the relief and recovery efforts of the communities affected by the recent tornadoes in South Georgia. The National Weather Service confirmed more than 24 tornadoes in the area, which left a path of destruction.


“We’ve been based here since 1939 and want to do our part to help our fellow Georgians,” said Cox Enterprises President and CEOJohn Dyer. “Many of our employees have family and friends who were impacted by these devastating storms. The Red Cross is mobilizing supplies and volunteers to help aid recovery, and we believe it’s important to support them in this time of need.”

Cox Enterprises is Georgia’s largest private company and has operations in Atlanta, Athens and Middle Georgia. The company also recently completed construction of its Golden Isles Conservation Center, which is in Southeast Georgia.
