Activist: Gay People 'Don't Get Extra Rights' Like Marriage

The LGBT community has the same rights as straight people, according to conservative activist Dr. Ben Carson, just not “extra rights” like the right to marry.

Carson’s comments, on Saturday at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) outside Washington, D.C., came as he accused the media of twisting his previous speeches about same-gender marriage. “You know, because I happen to mention that nobody gets to change the definition of marriage and mention some other categories, they said, ‘Carson said that gay marriage and bestiality are the same thing,'” he told the crowd. “Well, that’s preposterous.
