Myron E. “Mike” Ullman III
CEO
JCPenney
Mike Ullman’s career has taken him from Paris to Hong Kong, broadening his worldview. “It is quite energizing to meet people of other cultures and have different points of view, different upbringing and different situations,” UIllman told Fair360, formerly DiversityInc. “From my perspective, for our associates, it’s a much more enriching experience to work in an environment where they meet different kinds of people.”
Ullman was JCPenney’s Chairman and CEO from 2004 to 2011 and its Executive Chairman until January 2012. In April 2013, he came out of retirement to rejoin the company as CEO. Ullman created JCPenney’s executive diversity council, which he chairs.
