I completely identify with your situation. I have been in a similar environment for going on 2+ years; I have been targeted and isolated from the team as a result of the manager's doing. I have reported it to the manager, his manager, HR, etc. It is amazing how the cliques form and you become identified as the lone ranger, troublemaker, etc. I'm still hopeful that this will be seen by the right person at the right time and all will be held accountable for their actions (and in other cases their inaction).....

In a work place situation it is very hard to get along with other employees if they band together by race. When situations arise, you then become the target because you are not of that same race. It's hard to get a fair shake it that senerio and then your labled as not a team player.

I've never been that employee on the verge of snapping. However, what happens when co-workers band against someone and become cliquish? This may make that lone employee seem as if they are not able to get along with others when that's not the case. For instance, I was the last employee hired at a merchandising firm and quickly became the bosses go-to girl simply based on professionalism and merit. Upon seeing this the other employees started excluding me from lunch outings and literally talked around me. While I tried to maintain a professional demeanor it was a very isolating environment so I left.
