I am a HR major, this article is exactly what i was looking. I am working on a paper for testual analysis but it must relate to my major. The reality of being culturally aware, is critical, as a two-time Iraqi veteran. I can truly appreciate tthe need to be culturally aware on a global and domestic scale. This is an awesome interview, I am looking forward to more articles informing the American community on workplace diversity, especially in the deep south.

Mr Turley mentioned "Physical" Disabilities in the opening paragraph but neveragain in the article.
First with 200 million people world wide with disabilities 1 in 5 Americans or approx 50 million most of whom do not have physical disabilities and over 80% aquired them later in life via injury illness or age you would think it warranted as much attention as sexual orientation mentioned many times.
Disability playes no favorites including gender, skin color, and sexual orientation
so any of us could join the group at any time.
Many people with disabilities could benefit from a corporate culture that understood the isues they face so they felt more comfortable coming forward for simple accommodations that would allow them to retain their jobs instead of remaining silent "Behind A Curtin" until their performance declines to the point of termination.

Please ask Mr. Turney as one on the best companies when diversity is measured to seek staff members who can educate him on this issue, I am sure he has thousands who could help if given a safe arena to do so.
