PwC Creates Opportunities with Coursera
PwC has joined forces with Coursera, to provide access to a premier course in data analytics.
On Wednesday August 17, PwC announced a collaboration with Coursera, the largest ‘massive open online course’ [MOOC] platform in the world. Coursera is highly respected for the quality of their courses. PwC is amongst one of the first professional services networks to offer courses to their 208,000 employee strong workforce and to the general public on the Coursera platform.
This relationship means that PwC can offer a series of widely available courses for anyone who could benefit from learning more about business analytics. Starting August 22, PwC’s new “Data Analysis and Presentation Skills” course can be taken anytime, anywhere in the world thanks to Coursera’s flexible learning platform. This collaboration will also allow PwC’s people to improve their internal learning and development.
“Our collaboration with Coursera is about more than creating courses; it’s about helping people become more confident as they face the future,” said Agnes Hussherr, PwC’s global Human Capital leader. “We hope that we’ll play a part in building a generation of confident leaders who can inspire trust in others and be ready to solve the important problems faced by the businesses they lead.”
“Coursera is devoted to helping individuals advance their careers with access to the best education institutions, and we’re excited to expand this work by providing courses from leading global employers like PwC,” said Rick Levin, Coursera’s founder and CEO. “PwC has a unique understanding of exactly what employers are seeking in roles that require basic data analysis skills along with skills for how to communicate that data. We are delighted that PwC will now be able to help educate high potential people all around the world in these key skills through our platform.”
