PowerSecure Awarded Multi-year Contract to Serve Oncor with Utility Infrastructure Services

PowerSecure will provide hundreds of lineman and equipment to support its electrical system across Texas.

PowerSecure, a leading provider of energy infrastructure services and a subsidiary of Southern Company (No. 44 on the DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity list), announced on Sept. 21 that it has entered into a five-year contract with Oncor. Oncor’s industry-leading transmission and distribution system calls for major upgrades over the next several years to support its customers, and PowerSecure is to resource Oncor in the execution of these plans.

Oncor has more than 122,000 miles of transmission and distribution lines in Texas, and PowerSecure will provide hundreds of lineman and equipment to support its electrical system across the State. The deal supports Oncor’s commitment to provide their 3.4 million customers with a safer, smarter, and more reliable electric grid.

“We are excited to serve Oncor in this important work. Our team is strongly focused on delivering exceptional service, in support of Oncor’s amazing commitment to its customers in the marketplace. We couldn’t be more pleased to serve such a fantastic and well-respected utility,” said Sidney Hinton, Chief Executive Officer of PowerSecure.
