Dottie Brienza leads Merck & Co.’s Office of Global Diversity and Inclusion and is responsible for overall D&I strategy as well as building and developing the executive-talent pipeline across Merck’s global locations. She also oversees Merck’s eight resource groups and 10 “global constituency groups.”
Prior to joining Merck, Brienza was Senior Vice President, Global Talent Management at Hilton Worldwide. She also spent two decades at Johnson & Johnson, rising to Vice President of Human Resources: Change, Communications and Education. She has also been Corporate Vice President, Talent Management & Organizational Development at Honeywell and Vice President, Organizational and Leadership Development for Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation.
Brienza received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and communications from Marywood University in Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in organization development from American University. She also holds an Executive Leadership Certificate from Harvard Business School.
