Kaiser Permanente was named No. 1 in DiversityInc's 2016 Top 50 Companies for Diversity.

DiversityInc revealed the 2016 Top 50 Companies for Diversity last night at an announcement dinner held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. In addition to the Top 50 list, DiversityInc unveiled its 25 Noteworthy Companies, which includes companies that have potential to be a Top 50 company next year. Specialty lists were also announced, including the Top Companies for Opportunity, a brand new list this year recognizing companies that, because of factors such as location and industry, don’t have competitive diverse representation but demonstrate fairness in hiring/promotion, high potentials, retention and nurturing (including mentoring and employee resource groups). The No. 1 Company for Opportunity was Southern Company. Southern Company also ranked No. 46 on the Top 50 in its debut on the list.
