The level of ignorance is absolutely amazing. What saddens me is what this means for our future – the people that can dream this up are surely passing their vile on to the next generation. Is there enough goodness to overcome it? A wise man once told me “America’s greatness is in its goodness.” Are are a good people if we tolerate this?

As a Vietnam veteran who has been in harm’s way serving this country and protecting the freedom of the likes of such cowards to express themselves without fear of retribution from government or anyone; I am truly disappointed and heart broken over these outward acts of racism. Perhaps, I might have been better off fighting for a country which would not have allowed any such freedoms and one in which these cowards would have been afraid to even express themselves much less anonimously.
Racism is alive and well even in this 21st century. Not that I thought that it had died; I was hopefull that it might have been fading away.

Not much to say here other than social media and the internet have allowed people who harbor such thoughts to express them annoymously and it really gives a lot of credence to the perceptions that the United States has been and will always be a racist society. In the past, you thought you knew who they were. The one posting likes or creating these websites, postings, blogs, comments, commentary, etc. could be your cubemate. And really, the monkey images have been so done to death.
