		<description><![CDATA[Another part of this equation seems to me to be how we in the U.S. can increase our competitiveness with this new global workforce, particularly when we consider that one school of engineering alone, in both China and India, produces more engineers than all of the schools of engineering combined within the U.S.

I think we need something analogous to the &quot;Manhattan Project&quot; but devoted to increasing our production of high-tech graduates from our schools and colleges; if not this, then something analogous to the push we had for science and math education in the U.S. after the Soviets launched &quot;Sputnik&quot; and gave our society a &quot;wake-up call&quot;..  It does not appear that our standard practices are going to make up for our reduced productivity.  ]]></description>
