Participation in Dell’s employee resource groups has grown 10 to 15 percent in the last several years. Dana Keefer attributes this to the company’s shift from a regional to a global mindset and its inclusive culture. “It sounds like a no-brainer, but it’s the belief that your team members and what they have to say matters,” Keefer said at a Fair360, formerly DiversityInc talent-development event. “That has been something that has been core to Dell for the last 30 years. It’s part of our core values.”
Keefer has been Vice President of Dell’s Global Talent Management and Diversity group since 2010. She spearheads leadership-development and diversity-and-inclusion initiatives as well as Dell’s employee-engagement survey.
