Masrani has been TD Bank’s CEO since 2008 and in March 2013 was named the next CEO of parent company TD Bank Group. He will become COO of TD Bank Group in July 2013 and Group President and CEO in November 2014. He chairs the TD Bank Group Diversity Leadership Council, and senior executives make up a diversity leadership team that reports directly to him.
He has held numerous leadership roles at the company over more than 25 years, including Vice Chair and Chief Risk Officer of TD Bank Group; Senior Vice President and CEO, TD Waterhouse Investor Services, Europe; Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance and Co-Head in Europe; Vice President and Country Head for India; and Vice President and Head, Corporate Banking, Canada. He joined TD Bank Group in 1987 as a Commercial Lending trainee.
Masrani received a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at Toronto’s York University. He sits on the board of directors of The Financial Services Roundtable and is a member of the Federal Advisory Council, part of the Federal Reserve System. He and his wife live in Philadelphia. They have two adult children.
